Sittingbourne Speedway Club supports the Two Fat Submariners
Kent based Sittingbourne Speedway Club has shown its support for the Two Fat Submariners by donating track time and training sessions to be auctioned in aid of the charity appeal. In addition, TFS riders will also be donating their time to offer training days which will be open for attendance at Sittingbourne.
Barry said “I am very excited about our cooperation with Sittingbourne Speedway. Sittingbourne Speedway track is renowned for its training schools and has two speedway tracks to learn on, so can cater for everyone. The setup at Sittingbourne is very professional and I plan to hold training days with our TFS riders who will be available to pass on their skills and tips to students who come along to the events. We will also auction off track time where thanks to Sittingbourne Speedway we will supply everything needed to try riding speedway safely, with instructors and have a fun time. We intend to hold several events during the year. This is also Sittingbourne’s 40th year celebrations and I hope we can participate in that somehow.”
Graham Arnold from Sittingbourne Speedway said “I have known Barry for many a long time and he has ridden here on a number of occasions over the years. When he approached me with some of his ideas for the coming year of giving we were only too pleased to find a way to accommodate the Two Fat Submariners into our busy training and amateur schedule. The Two Fat Submariners have several professional riders who are willing to come and provide training tuition so we hope that combined with our equipment, track, excellent facilities we will be able to do a lot with the Two Fat Submariners. Sittingbourne Speedway club will also provide facilities for training and corporate days for TFS to Auction. The guys have taken on a large challenge for three wonderful charities and we give them our full support.” More details about Sittingbourne Speedway Club can be found at www.sittingbourne-speedway.co.uk
