Fat Submariner Barry Bishop and PartIII Myles Bishop run at Blenheim Palace

Barry and Myles Bishop pulled out all the stops over the weekend to notch up some impressive times during the Blenheim Palace fun run. Barry came 249th out of a suspected 800 or more runners with a great time of 39min 07sec.

Myles who is just 9 years old, finished his race 8th out of the entire U15 field and 2nd in the U10 field.

I think everyone will join in the congratulations for both Barry and Myles.

Fat Submariner to run at Blenheim Palace race.

Barry and Myles Bishop will run this weekend in the 7k Blenheim Palace charity race support local charities around Woodstock.

Barry said “With our cycle ride less than 11 weeks away I have to start my Marathon training for September. This is the hardest spell of training for me as I am doing a lot of cycling and running as well as stamina work. I am very keen just to run in a race with lots of other runners instead of running alone or with Myles. Obviously I am not concerned where I finish :) . I am pleased that Myles is doing it with me and it will be great preparation for the Junior Marathon in Poland which he will participate in.”
